In the year 2006 my husband and I, along with our first born son who was 2 years old at the time, purchased a small 1929 Farmhouse. From day 1 I knew that as our family grew, we would need to add square footage and update the space. For 12 years since the purchase I spent an abnormal amount of time learning how to make that happen. We lived in the original house for around 12 years with no work being done and nothing changing except another baby boy and three more dogs joining the family.
We were so excited to start our home remodel.
In the spring of 2018, we as a family decided it was time to change that and we decided to almost completely scrape the house that we had lived in for the last decade plus. The anticipation was unreal. Finally, it was time to begin. And thats when things quickly went downhill.
Only 6 weeks in and our contractor was grossly over budget!
A few months into what would be a ten month project, our contractor was grossly over budget and we realized that we would never be able to complete the remodel. My contractor nightmare had begun. The house was completely destroyed. We didn’t even have a roof! And we were running out of money!
It was time for me to take control!
It became painfully obvious that in order to get everything done, I would have to take over the remodel and finish the project myself. At first I was worried about all the work, money, and time that this project would require, however in the end I wound up falling in love with the process and finding a passion I never knew existed. The journey itself pushed me to the brink of insanity and I had to not only be my own contractor, but I had to be my own “Construction Therapist” as well.
Let me help you make your house a home again.
A Common Dillema
Unfortunately, my story was all too common and between the subcontractors I have worked with and the phone calls and conversations that I (Much like most of you) have had with friends, and friends of friends about their remodel disasters I made the decisions to help those friends with their projects and I have never once looked back. My job is to alleviate the stress and hardships of remodeling for anyone who may need it, especially people like you. One call or email and your contractor or remodel issues could be a thing of the past.
Call me! I can’t wait to hear from you.
I am excited about your project. Lets get started making it great together!
